Pro Spec Wood Bat

$119.00

These bats come from the top 10% of wood stock and are made to MLB specifications. They are turned from hand split billets, hand sanded and 360 radially boned for the hardest bat possible. All bats come with an ink dot to measure slope of grain which allows us to ensure you are getting the strongest most durable bat possible. Finish and label colors are limited to comply with MLB regulations.

We will do our best to match the weight you select but there may be a +/- .5 ounce difference. Also, some big barrel bats are impossible to create with a -3 weight differential, we will get as close as we can without compromising the integrity of the bat. All bats will be cupped according to the weight selected.

Wood Types

Birch
Birch is just now starting to gain some momentum in the wood bat industry. It is a good compromise between maple and ash as it is more flexible than maple but harder than ash. It also won’t flake like an ash bat.

Maple
Maple is a very hard, dense and heavy wood. Only recently has technology reached a point that enough moisture could be removed from maple billets to make a bat that wasn’t too heavy. The closed grain structure eliminates the possibility of flaking. Maple bats are more durable but also tend to be heavier especially in big barreled bats.
